Daily Fishing Report Steelhead Alley

Rain yesterday pushed most Steelhead Alley tributaries into rough shape. Many rivers are currently high and muddy.

One exception is the Rocky River, which surprisingly held together better than expected and remains one of the few fishable larger systems right now.

  • High Air Temp: ~37–40°F

  • Average Water Temp: ~48–51°F

Until water levels drop and clarity improves, anglers may have better luck focusing on smaller creeks and faster-clearing tributaries. These systems typically come back into shape much quicker after rain events.

As conditions stabilize over the next couple days, steelhead fishing across tributaries flowing into Lake Erie should improve quickly. Fresh runs of steelhead were reported with the last rain event, and each push of water should continue bringing more fish upstream as they begin staging and spawning. 🎣
